Our Basic first aid course is ideal for anyone who wants to know how to deal with an emergency life threatening situation.

Three Day HSE Approved First Aid at Work Course

The Three Day First Aid at Work Course teaches candidates the practical skills required by a first aider in the workplace.

Candidates are given the knowledge and confidence to deal with first aid emergencies up until the handover to the Emergency Medical Services.

This course is required for Nominated First Aiders in the workplace and ideal for individuals who would like to attend a comprehensive first aid course.

The course involves practical exercises and plenty of practice to prepare candidates for their assessment of the last day of the course.


Candidates will receive the HSE approved First aid at work certificate upon successful completion of this course.

The HSE recommends that all First Aiders complete an annual refresher.

Course Content Includes Scene Safety Initial Assessment Accidents and illness First aid Kit Requirements Responsibilities of a First Aider including Record Keeping Treatment of an unconscious casualty, Recovery Position Heart attacks Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Shock Choking, Conscious and Unconscious Bleeding Burns and scalds Poisoning Fractures Seizures, Fainting Asthma Severe allergic reaction Eye injuries Low blood sugar.
